EVERY GIRL

Once upon a time, a lovely couple waits patiently for the arrival of their first child. Calculating by medical principles the time of birth by adding 280 days to the start of the last menstruation.

The D day comes, mummy is due for delivery. The cervix dilates to allow passage of the baby's head and body. Where the uterus and the birth canal together forms a curved passage. The amnion bursts,  there the doctor says " rupture of the membranes has taken place."

Lol and behold, the cry of a mother_to_be is heard in the labour room by the command PUSH!. Slowly, the baby's head is out and it turns to face the mother's hip. This turning makes the shoulder of the baby emerge out easily. There and then, ergometrine is administered.

Another command comes more louder - PUSH!
That is the last force require for the rest of the body to slip out of the birth canal.

Amazingly, the baby is born and the umbilical cord is cut. The doctor raises the baby and says" IT'S A GIRL."  The mother, no longer expectant, looks delightedly at her baby and as her first cry echoes, she fondles her to relaxation.

Longevity studies show that the girl child is stronger than the boy child. She is less likely to be aborted when in her mother's womb. She is more likely to be born alive. She is also less likely to succumb to infection in the first years of life and more likely to live beyond the age of 65.

This Girl is a young woman with all it's potentials yet to develop fully. The treasury of potentials of the Girl is inexhaustible and the speciality of her life's Melody can't be measured.

As time goes on, the Girl sought peace with herself and environment. Moreover, the uncertainties of life made her understand that she cannot control so much happening around her, but she can be control the effect and the influence it has on her.
Therefore, well-being of mind, soul and body matters to attain balance and fulfillment. The Girl like the Woman discovered she has  three relationship that makes her being. They determine how successful she will become. They are;
Her relationship with;
1.God
2.Herself
3.Others

Oftentimes, the Girl wondered why the first and the third are preached leaving the second untouched. She remembered what an American singer, actress and producer Tracee Ellis Ross once said
" I need to see my own beauty and continuously be reminded that I am enough,that I am worthy love with effort, that I am beautiful, that the texture of my hair and the shape of my curves, the size of my lip, the colour of my skin and the feelings that I have, are all okay and worthy."

 The rate of low self-esteem in females is overwhelming and it's damaging friendships and relationships. People call it  Lack of Trust, Insecurities, Anxiousness etc.
But its all boils down to not having a strong relationship with  oneself.

 This can be seen when she anxiously and recklessly pursue external relationship in hopes of achieving internal peace. When she desperately tries to love others - finding in them what she ought to find in herself and give herself.
Sadly, due to this, she will do right things for wrong reason.

Train a girl, Train a nation.
A Girl will grow to nurse at her breast her husband and children. Even her career will be affected by her ability to pass on the very best of her. For she possess naturally the ability to gently influence those she loves and love her.

Moreso, A Girl grows daily to be a better version of herself. So, it doesn't have to be the physical growth only, but growth in purpose.  Therefore, in this growth to maturity and fulfillment of destiny, following just Heart and Instinct is not enough.

In accordance with the scriptures, the human heart is mysterious. It can conceal ills and give wrong directives if not daily cleansed by the Holy Spirit. For something seems right doesn't mean it is the right thing to do at a moment. Also, a good intention coupled with a master plan can be countered by a slight mistake to look an intentional wickedness.

Conclusively, a Girl's life can get better and better. This doesn't dispute the fact that she is Ok being herself. For being original and authentic doesn't mean you are excellent the way you are or at your best. There is always room for a better version.
